New holiday card designs from Minted!
Thanks to Minted for collaborating on this post. I received cards in exchange for this article. All opinions are my own!
Sending (and receiving) cards during the holidays is one of my favorite things of the year. I love sending photo cards so our friends and family can keep up with how quickly the kids are growing, and this year I lucked out with the new 2019 holiday card designs from Minted! Also? Keep reading for tips on how you can save time using their services when it comes to your cards.

Last year, I went with a foil card. This year I decided to not do the foil, and I didn’t even stick with a blue theme. Blue is my go-to color, but occasionally I like to branch out. I uploaded photos I took of the kids in very late August (maybe even early September) to Minted, so I could play with a few card designs.
I finally decided on the Holidays Upon Us design.
How did I save time on my cards?
I first tried adding the recipient addresses to Minted last year. You can upload a spreadsheet with your address book, and it just lives in Minted. They print the addresses you select (so for myself, I print everyone in the list.) I’m hooked on this feature. This year, I added a few to our list and edited a couple of addresses for friends who have moved. It took only a few minutes, and the majority of our holiday cards have addresses already printed on the envelopes, saving me a number of hours writing out envelopes. The best part of this service is that it is free.
(This is also a great feature to have if you’re planning to print birthday invitations or other cards throughout the year. You can select as few or as many addresses as you like, and they all stay in your account!)
My next time saver included having our return address printed on the backs of the envelopes. This service isn’t free, but it’s worth it and the envelopes are just as pretty as our cards! The design that is on our envelopes came free with the address feature, and I love how it goes with the card theme.
One thing I did not do this year was get the postage added to our envelopes. Maybe next year?

Not quite ready to create your cards yet? That’s OK! You can purchase your cards, and customize/finish them later – you’ll still get the sale prices!
