Can I just go on the record and say I’m exhausted? This has certainly been a busy week.

We’re leaving today to go see Kenny’s family. It’ll be fun. They’re having a family reunion tomorrow, and this will be the first time we’ve seen everyone in one place since the wedding. (So it’ll be one year and five days since we’ve seen everyone…)

Sarah Palin is coming to Asheville Sunday. I want to help cover it because it’s big news, but we’re going to see how things play out. For starters, we’re driving back that day. I may end up being forced to work Sunday, but I haven’t seen an actual boss today that can tell me my fate.

Lots happening at work today too. Podcast recordings, cleaning things up that weren’t done correctly the first time, and just trying to wrap things up so I can get out on time.

Think good thoughts for my grandma’s church. There was a fire in the (Franklin Forks) church annex on Wednesday. All I could find on it is here. The church is in Pennsylvania, not Asheville for you Asheville peeps who know my other grandma.

I think that’s all for now. Pray I don’t fall asleep at work today.

  1. my mom got tickets to see Palin.. What time do you think we should get downtown? I didn’t know how early people would start standing in line… Hope you have fun this weekend, at least you don’t have to go while awaiting the answer for your house. =)

  2. I’m not sure how many tickets they’re giving away – the Civic Center doesn’t hold 8000 people in the arena, and for Obama’s visit (which held 22,000 people), people started lining up the night before. Most people who got there about 3 or 4 hours before gates opened got in. Doors open at 4, so I would think around lunchtime.

Weekend plans may change. Waiting to hear from the husband before I say anything. Family reunion is off (sad – I was looking forward to it!) and now we’re looking at Plan B.
