not inspired

There’s so much in my head, but I’m not totally inspired to blog about it. How about a list then?

–Was supposed to head to Atlanta this evening, but our trip was postponed due to the fact that Atlanta can’t cope in the ice and snow conditions they were given this week. Seriously, they are worse than Asheville. Sad.
–My husband keeps running up and down the hallway with the cat’s fishing pole. She’s chasing him. He thinks it’s hilarious, but wants me to take over so he can read for a while. I’m not in the mood to run around my house.
–I’ve heard ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’ twice recently, which made me think of the movie ‘Notting Hill.’ I came home tonight and searched for it, but can’t find it. Could it be that I don’t own it? I find that hard to believe, but maybe….
–Speaking of DVDs…it took UPS 5 extra days to deliver my latest Amazon box because they were afraid of the streets. I’ll give them Monday and Tuesday, and maybe even Wednesday. But by yesterday, I called them. And today I would have been more than furious if they hadn’t delivered it (especially when I could have driven to the UPS station and picked it up myself.)
–That said, I spent 49 cents on a copy of ‘Valentine’s Day.’ The ultimate chick flick…at least for this time of year. šŸ™‚
–I haven’t been happier this week than this evening when my husband said to me over the phone, “I haven’t started cooking yet, and I don’t really want to.” I said, “I wouldn’t mind going out.” And he quickly agreed to that. By the time I got home, I gave into going to Longhorn with him – because we had a coupon and never, ever eat there. When we got to the restaurant, the line was way too long, so then we started racing to the next place, Cookout. Again, too long of a line. We ended up at McAllister’s. Best pesto chicken panini I’ve had in FOREVER. I love it when things work out that way.
–We spent the rest of our evening in Target. Kind of a perfect Friday night.

Are you uninspired right now? Is it the weather? The snow? The inability to leave my house for 3 days? I hope I snap out of it soon.

  1. We ate at our third choice, we were hoping for the 2/$30 at Red Lobster, moved on to Chili’s hoping for the 2/$20, ended up paying full price for dinner at Carraba’s. I guess everyone had the same idea, you would have thought we were all cooped up in our houses all week or something, lol.

  2. Cooped up in the house is an understatement – it’s been too cold to even try to venture outside!

Kirsten, You ran 26.2 miles on Sunday. I think it’s okay for you to be uninspired when it comes to running – at least for a week or two. šŸ˜‰
