Round up of my day:
Woke up at 4:45. Felt like I had been hit by something. Worked from home, and then went into the office around 7:15.
Left work at 9:45. Sick. I hate that. I never ever call in sick.
Made it home and remembered something I needed to tell my boss. Noticed that our internet was out. Called Charter. 20 minutes later, I was told there was an outage in our area. It’d be up within 30 minutes.
Went to Target for meds. Came home. Called Charter. Still no internet. They said it would be up within an hour and a half.
90 minutes later, no internet. Called Charter. Spent 35 minutes on the phone. The guy said it would be up within 35 minutes.
Slept for two hours.
4:00 the husband comes in from work. Work did not go well. Still no internet.
We now have someone coming tomorrow to look at our cable. The best response from Charter? “For more information, visit www.charter.net”
My response? I’d do that if you could FIX. MY. PROBLEM. The woman got quiet and said, “oh yes. well, when it is fixed, you should visit our website.”
I hate Charter. They’re almost as bad as that hosting company I had.
I’m using my mom’s laptop and wireless card tonight. There may not be much more from me until we can resolve the internet issues.
