November Goals {2018}

It’s that time of year – when a lot of bloggers shoot for the stars and post every day of the month. Considering I missed yesterday, I think it’s safe to say I’m not going to be 100% successful at National Blog Posting Month. You will, however, hear from me a little more frequently. (But let’s be realistic.) I realized this weekend that I have a lot that I want to accomplish this week – and what better way to hold myself accountable than by throwing my goals onto the internet for everyone to see? Do you make monthly goals for yourself?

Here are a few of my November (2018) goals:

Write most days. I always start NaBloPoMo off strong, and by the end of the month I’m a little over it. This month I do want to push myself, but keep it fun and hopefully get inspired for December – and 2019!

Figure out my next side hustle. I’m reading Side Hustle: From Idea to Income in 27 Days, and I’m excited. I’m only a few days into starting the book, and I have ideas – and I’ve started to put one of my ideas into motion.

Complete my Christmas shopping. We started buying some things for our kids earlier this year when Babies-R-Us closed in our area (and a few months later Toys-R-Us closed.) Surprisingly, I’ve kept the couple of toys hidden AND organized. Well last month, it was announced that one of our K-Mart stores is closing, so I’ve been going by and checking out things that my kids might like for Christmas. I have ideas what other family members might like, and now it’s just a matter of completing my shopping. I’d love to make some gifts this year. We’ll see if I can make that happen.

Move more. I let my half marathon training go by the wayside last month. After falling in September, I just lost my motivation to keep running long distances. I’ve run the past two days, and I’ve started incorporating weights back into my workout routine. Let’s see where November takes me!

Get over my soda habit. This is a tough one. I do not drink enough water, which can be expensive (because soda is my drink of choice – and not free) and is so bad for me. I haven’t gone cold turkey, but I have increased my water consumption, thus decreasing my soda intake just in the past four days.

Mail my Christmas cards – by Thanksgiving! Our cards have been ordered and will be at my house this week, so theoretically this shouldn’t be difficult. It’s time to stay organized!

Are you making goals and sticking to them this month?

  1. I don’t often make monthly goals, but THIS month I’m trying to do NaBLoPoMo and NaNoWriMo. I’m going to blame that on the fact that I haven’t even thought about Christmas cards yet.
