nursery update (part 3)

We’re still plugging away on the nursery. (See the first update here, and the second update here.) A few weeks ago, the bedding arrived. Then Kenny and my mom spent a weekend painting. (The weekend after that, while we were in New York, my mom painted the trim in the room.) Last weekend, the closet was torn apart, and we now lack painting the closet and installing new shelves and rods.

Needless to say, it’s still a bit of a mess. And last night I realized that I haven’t posted any pictures on here of the progress.

About two weeks ago, though, I posted a picture on my photo blog of the bedding. A little sneak peak, if you will.

I love the bedding, and how it’s fairly neutral. We have several things in the room that match the different colors in the bedding – and it seems that we’re doing a monkey/jungle theme in the room, without even trying! (Some items have been ordered, so you’ll have to check back for even more details.)

Last night, Kenny was at a friend’s house, so I continued to go through clothes and gifts from our baby showers. Clothes are in the dresser (even though they haven’t been washed yet.) As soon as the closet is ready, I’ll wash the clothes and start hanging them. I have some baskets prepared with items for the closet as well. In my head, I have it all planned out. I just wish I could think it, and all of the work would be done. It doesn’t work that way, though.

I guess we’ve reached the nesting phase. (Even Kenny’s getting in on it. He was ALL OVER sorting clothes the other night!) Little by little, things are coming together!
