Props to my husband who spent the majority of the weekend painting the baby’s room (alongside my mom who came over Saturday to get it started.) My mom is a Virgo. She likes things to be done certain ways – and usually the right way. I tend to just go with it, and get it done however we can. So they spent over an hour patching holes, and then more hours painting the ceiling before starting on the walls.

I at least provided dinner. It was the least I could do for the two that worked so hard on a Saturday afternoon.

Sunday afternoon was the same way – a second coat of paint for the walls. I cooked dinner again, but by that time, my mom was already cooking something different.

Today, Kenny spent a good amount of time touching up any spots that he missed. He also brought the rocking chair up. And tonight? Well, tonight he’s wrestling with the crib – or the baby cage as he keeps referring to it.

Next on the agenda for the room? The trim needs to be painted, as does the closet. And we may install an organizational system in the closet to help utilize the small space. But none of that is happening this week.

As long as we get the baby cage crib set up and it doesn’t collapse, I think we can call this week a success.
