oh, my….running goodness
We’ve lucked out with two days of pretty amazing weather, but I knew it was going to end today. We were supposed to get rain yesterday (we did last night) and heavy rain today. I hoped and prayed that the rain would hold off so I could get my 11 miles in this morning. All I needed was for the weather to cooperate until 10 or so.
It totally cooperated until 9:37, and we were already finished with our run (well, my group. The 14-milers were still out running their little hearts out.)
We averaged a 12-minute mile pace today, and that includes the 5 minutes we were stopped at a park, waiting for everyone to use restrooms and get water, etc.
It felt amazing. I’m getting more and more anxious about the December race, and I hope everything falls into place, just as today did.
The rest of the day is going to involve lots of TV watching, lounging around and watching the rain outside.
All in all, a great Saturday.
I feel your rain pain! I live in the suburbs of Atlanta….DELUGE!!! But there’s always football. š
Ooh, tell me about it! We’re in Atlanta and getting crazy rain! I envy your determination to run every day. I need some of that to help me drop the rest of this baby weight!
