I overcommitted myself. I’m exhausted because of it.
This weekend, I will be taking on four different events, while also trying to live my life and housesit for my mom who will be on a mini-vacation. Tomorrow, I’ll be helping out with Flat Rock Music Festival in the morning and then heading westward to set up for the Light the Night walk, which will keep me busy until around 9 or 10. Saturday, it’s Fall Festival at Enka (helping Kenny out) and then over to McCormick Field to help with the setup for the Scott Little-Weepies-Indigo Girls show. Madness…complete and utter madness.
Our music site launched this week. All of our sites have been slow and incomplete since Monday, but we got the music site launched. It’s not 100% where I want to see it, but it’s still pretty awesome. It’s so surreal that it’s actually out there.
Many apologies to my sister-in-law whose birthdate I got wrong. I thought I was a day late, when, in fact, I was a day early. But, at least birthday cards arrived on time!
I haven’t been running since the race almost two weeks ago. I’m losing weight now, but I think it’s stress-induced. Bring it on! I plan to hit the road Saturday morning before Fall Festival…I need a stress reliever.
Since our websites have been down during the day, I’ve been working long hours – getting up by 5 a.m. to work on the website, go into work, and then work pretty late (til 11 or so.) I feel like a zombie.
Oh, and I borrowed Grey’s Anatomy seasons 1 and 2 from my mom – I’m almost finished with season 2. I started watching them on Sunday.
Finally, a HUGE thanks to everyone who supported me in the Light the Night walk – thank you cards will be in the mail at some point. I raised my goal to $300, and in the end I’ll have raised more than $500. You guys rock! I’m very grateful…my entire team who was committed to walking tomorrow night ended up backing out on me earlier today. But, at least my supporters kicked butt in raising money 🙂 That’s all that counts, right?
I’m off now…I’ve got to see what’s going on between Meredith and McDreamy. That show rocks.
