It’s been a hectic time. First, we’ll start with Thanksgiving. The Turkey Trot was sloowwww for me. My time was 29 something. Not good. It was a very flat course – supposed to be quick. Not for me. I need hills!

Turkey Day was fun 🙂 Kenny’s parents were here, and we made dinner and had a few friends over for dinner, and a couple others for dessert. Very relaxed. Very nice. I hope we can do it again!

Two days following Turkey Day – pure hell. Jason and I thought it would be a good idea to wake up at 3 a.m. on Friday, and go buy a new computer (I really need one.) Bad idea. They were gone by 4:15 a.m. It wasn’t the best day-after-Thanksgiving shopping day I’ve ever experienced. And, then, I went to Yankee Candle to work until 3 or so. I clocked out when I could no longer remember my associate ID number. (You have to type it in when you ring up purchases – not a good thing to forget it.) I went to sleep around 6:30 that night. Saturday wasn’t much better. Worked from 8-4, I believe. Needless to say, I was exhausted by Sunday. And then I headed back to C-T on Monday.

My training has been non-existent, but my marathon is in 4 months and 3 weeks. I’m going to run a few miles tomorrow morning….and it’s FREEZING here! Gotta tough it out, though. There aren’t too many people who think I can run this marathon.

So, major thanks to Kenny’s parents – they bought us a new chair for the dining room table, and I’m going to pick up the final chairs this week. I originally bought the table and two chairs, and stained them myself. It was all I could afford, and all I could get home at one time…at the time. Well, fast forward 2 plus years, and we could really use the two other chairs. So, Kenny’s mom gave me money (THANKS!) for one chair, for Christmas 🙂 I’m so psyched. We’ll have a complete set by Friday!

Other than that, things are good. I’ve been busy painting ceramics, making hats and scarves, and working. Christmas is such a busy time of year! I have 3 holiday parties to attend between this Saturday and next Tuesday. And, I’m trying to make at least half of the presents I give this year. I finished a really cute ornament tonight (can’t say who it’s for, but I’ll post a photo as soon as that person has received it.)

I should go. This has been a long entry. Hopefully, I’ll be on this weekend and will post again. I’m thinking of staring a marathon blog. Gotta do something to keep myself motivated, right?

  1. you know, they have a name for people like you. (type A personality, workaholic, OCD). you need a vacation. Tell Kenny that he needs to take you somewhere this summer, or better yet, on spring break. Go to Vegas, or Jamaca, or Oklahoma…hint, hint.
