Old School Blogging: Alphabet Meme

I’m linking with Elaine again this month for some old school blogging. (Seriously, these are some of my favorite posts this year. They’re so random!) Today we are touching on the Alphabet Meme and keep reading because I’ve tagged a few of you (hopefully you’ll join in!)

A. Attached or Single? Attached to my husband. Kenny!

B. Best Friend? Kenny. (And several BFFs I’ve had since middle school and high school!)

C. Cake or pie? CAKE.

D. Day of choice? Saturday.

E. Essential Item? Cellphone.

F. Favorite color? Blue. Lately I’ve been a fan of purple.

G. Gummy bears or worms? Gummy bears

H. Hometown? Asheville, NC (though before NC was my home I lived in upstate NY.)

I. Favorite Indulgence? Twizzlers. Eating Twizzlers while holed up in my bedroom reading Real Simple or HGTV Magazine? Bliss. (Note that most things about me have to do with bad-for-you food.)

J. January or July? July. We’re so busy and it’s my husband’s birthday. We tend to travel in July. I love it.

K. Kids? Yes. One toddler-boy.

L. Life isn’t complete without? My family (and that includes Chloe the wonder cat.) Running, friends (and running friends), laughter.


M. Marriage date? 10/20/07

N. Number of brothers/sisters? 1 brother

O. Oranges or Apples. Apples. Love apples.

P. Phobias? Bugs. Doesn’t matter what kind of bug, and that includes spiders. Gross.

Q. Quotes? My favorite quote that I saw recently was during the Nike Womens Half Marathon in DC. I saw a sign that said, “There will come a day that you cannot do this. Today is not that day.”

R. Reasons to smile? This kid.(You must watch that video and try not to smile.)
S. Season of choice? Spring or Fall. Not too hot. Not (usually) too cold.

U. Unknown fact about me? I received a partial running scholarship my first year of college. (I had an academic scholarship that paid most of tuition.) I really was a runner!

V. Vegetable? Favorite vegetable: Cucumbers and corn! I can’t get enough corn (and I know it’s not the greatest for me.)

W. Worst habit? Over committing. And my smart phone(s). I need to put the phones away (I have two. It’s bad.)

X. Xray or Ultrasound? What? I’ve had both, if that’s what this question is for. 🙂

Y. Your favorite food? Homemade mac & cheese. Or pizza. I can see where my kid gets his picky eating habits now…

Z. Zodiac sign? Libra
