Fall is such a favorite of mine. I love the changing of seasons, the colors, the treats (and it doesn’t hurt that my birthday and anniversary are both in October.) The end of this month has been kind of rough, but I’m trying not to hold that against October. Today I’m linking up with Elaine for Old School Blogging – the Fall edition!

What is your favorite Halloween candy? Candy corn. Hands down.

What is one of the worst “treats” you ever received in your candy bag? Fruit or pennies. The pennies were just weird.

What was one of your favorite costumes you wore when you were a kid? I remember being a witch a few times. (Kind of like my cat, but less angry.)

How about your favorite costume as an adult? Is it sad I don’t really dress up as an adult? We did once a few years ago for a party. I was Dorothy, my husband was the scarecrow and our son was Toto.

What scares you most on Halloween? Spiders? Zombies? Axe murderers? Eyeballs in a jar… (or something else)? I really dislike being scared. Axe murderers are the worst and somehow my husband LOVES Halloween!

So then, what is your favorite scary movie?? None of them. I watch them for my husband. (And I haven’t watched any in a long time. I owe him at least one movie this month.)

What is you favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal? Food-wise, it has to be cranberry relish. For real. I can eat that stuff like ice cream. I was thrilled the year my mom gave me a food processor for Christmas – I could make cranberry relish on my own!

What is your favorite piece of clothing or accessory to wear in the Fall? I’m a fan of light scarves.

What is your favorite pie? If you do not like pie I will forgive you but then what is your favorite Fall dessert? Pumpkin pie. And apple pie!!

Do you live where there are four seasons? If so, where is your favorite place to see the fall colors? My town (Asheville) is SO gorgeous in the fall.

What is your favorite fall tradition? We love to visit the corn maze and the past two years we’ve enjoyed visiting the apple orchards. Pumpkin patches are a lot of fun, and my son loves jumping in leaves, so I don’t mind so much raking them for me.

Is there anything else special about the Fall to you? Fall is my favorite because it’s not too hot, not too cold (usually). My birthday and wedding anniversary are in October and I love the colors. It’s a fabulous time of year!

  1. Asheville is so beautiful! I had a chance to visit once a few years back during the spring and I would love to visit in the fall. I don’t dress up for Halloween either as an adult – not my favorite holiday? But Thanksgiving, apple pie, apple picking and scarves really are some of my favorite fall things!
