Old School Blogging: A Few of My Favorite Things #OSBlog

It’s another month and another Old School Blogging with Elaine! This month we take a look at a few of my favorite things…

Sit down restaurant – I love Tupelo Honey. Love, love, love. Well before they became kind of a chain (you can find them outside of Asheville now. I used to love Carrabba’s, but they’ve changed their menu. The portions are smaller, the prices are higher and I didn’t get garlic mashed potatoes with my chicken last time (I only got spinach.) Not that I’m upset (I am.)

Cookie – Chocolate chip and macadamia nut.

Bath product scent – Grapefruit. I’m weird.

T.V. shows – Old shows: Friends, Gilmore Girls, Dawson’s Creek. Currently: Mindy Project, New Girl, Modern Family, Grey’s Anatomy, The Voice.

Flower/plant – Tulips are my fave.

Bad-for-me snack – ice cream. I loveeeee ice cream (and Moose Tracks is at the top of my favorite ice cream flavors.)

Magazines – I love HGTV Magazine, Real Simple, Women’s Health. I also receive Weight Watchers magazine.

Hobby (besides blogging) – Scrapbooking, sewing, painting ceramics.

Holiday – Christmas (and Thanksgiving is super close behind, if not my favorite. I love the thankful part and the fact that we don’t have to stress over gift-giving.)

Girls Night Out activity – Chick flicks and drinks!

Date night – On one of our more recent date nights, we ended up at Home Depot AND Lowes. We’re wild, right? We actually do dinner and a movie when we have a date night. We’re long overdue for date night…

Nope. Not weird. I like grapefruit and citrusy smells, too. Yum! So fresh and clean smelling!

Home Depot and Lowe’s without kids? Yep, sound dreamy!

I never really watched Gilmore Girls when it was originally on but my daughter has been watching it on Netflix and I’m really liking it! I’m with you on the ice cream too!

I didn’t even know Grey’s Anatomy was still on. I quit watching after the plane crash. I was too sad.

These posts are just making me want cookies. 😉

A Tupelo Honey Café just came to my town and I’ve been thinking about going there. I’ve heard it was good, and it’s still not a very big chain!

One… I hate it when restaurants change things up, and not for the better. Two… we also have date night at Lowe’s and Home Depot! Too funny!! Living on the wild side, eh?!

I loved Tupelo Honey! There’s a restaurant on this side of the state that is my absolute favorite, called Chef and the Farmer.

I love this concept. A few of my favorite things: cuddling with my daughter, reading a great novel, really good dark chocolate and a fabulous (rare) facial at the spa.

Girls night out! I haven’t done that since I moved here, and I miss my friends, lolol!! I don’t like when fave menu items get changed either, we had that happen recently here at a different chain.

Tulips are my favorite also. I totally relate to the Home Depot date night. Hubby and I often end up there ourselves. It’s a fun place to plan out future home renovation dreams together.

I haven’t been to Carrabba’s in a LONG time…it’s terrible that you didn’t get your potatoes! I’d be upset too. Had to laugh about getting wild with both Lowe’s AND Home Depot. I wouldn’t be surprised if that kind of date was in our near future.
