on the road again (almost)
Now that the race is behind me, I can focus on our trip to Philadelphia. The husband and I are flying on Thursday night and we’ll have most of Friday free to check out the city.
It doesn’t help at all that our flight gets in at 11:55 p.m. on Thursday. Talk about no time to rest!
In looking at websites and weather forecasts, I don’t think there’s much snow to speak of. There is a small chance of snow on Sunday, but we’re flying out at 6:30 in the morning. I was really hoping to see *real* snow!! (I don’t consider the flurries Asheville gets “real snow.”)
We’ll be within walking distance of the Liberty Bell. And I have a list of 3 or 4 places that we want to check out (one includes a restaurant.) We’ll be within walking distance of Independence Hall and the Betsy Ross house, so we’ll at least get outside photos of each place.
If you’re from the Philadelphia area or have at least visited, what else is worth our short amount of time? We want to take in as much as possible!
I’m guessing your restaurant is the historic Hard Rock Cafe?
Welcome back to my blog, Jason! And while you do know me well…..that is not the restaurant we’ll be going to. Sad, I know. (I’ll stop by the Hard Rock for a drink and a shot glass. I can’t help myself.) Someone on Twitter told me that we need to go to National Mechanics in Old City.
And while you’re in Chicago, do you mind swinging by their HRC for your sister? š
Have a fun trip! You are a busy bee this month!
