One day down
My first day back to work went as well as could be expected. The baby woke up at 3:20 this morning, and again at 6:45 (but I was up at 6.) I had hoped he would sleep until 4:30 or 5, but no such luck.
Things were going well. We were meeting my mom at the chiropractor (we all had appointments this morning) and would do the hand-off there. Then the baby’s reflux decided to kick in. He spit up everywhere while on the changing pad. And again when I put him in his car seat. I got us cleaned up and we were on our way.
We did manage to hit heavy traffic (something I have not missed the past 12 weeks) and finally made it to the chiropractor. On a side note, if you are looking for a recommended chiropractor, why not check out True Spine Chiropractic, my friend praises them highly! Anyway, we then had our adjustments, he went off with my mom and all was good.
Except he somehow managed to wet through his diaper and outfit. I only sent one spare outfit with him. Luckily, his dresser is right around the corner from grandma’s house.
Lucas chose today to not nap, so he was oh-so-pleasant when he was picked up this afternoon. Note to self – written schedules are good for anyone keeping him.
And work was okay. My office had been partially moved since I was there in August, so I spent the day going through over 3100 emails, and moving some of my stuff to a different floor. I did spend my lunch break at home with the baby, which helped me out mentally. I felt like I was in a fog at work. It feels weird being back.
The downside to all of this? I get to do it all over again tomorrow. And the day after. But then I’m off for a few days, so that’s nice.
So we survived. One day down. So many more to go.
((hugs))
Sounds like a crazy day! 3100 emails is A LOT! :O
