I should have posted this yesterday (or just sooner than today) but the truth is, some people were still receiving them on Saturday and possibly Monday.

Our 2012 Christmas card. I love it.

I also had 10 holiday cards I ordered from Tiny Prints (our Christmas card came from Shutterfly.) We have a few friends who don’t celebrate Christmas, and I thought the holiday cards were more fitting for them. On the back of our card, we had one more family photo that I took (with a remote.) One day I’ll get around to posting all of the photos!

I had mentioned before that I wasn’t sure if we were going to be able to get Chloe onto the card this year, but then I felt guilty for not including her. She’s our fur child – and a huge part of our family. She deserved her own spot on the card.

The photo of the 3 of us was taken at Biltmore. I shot all of the other photos.

And there you have it….the anatomy of our card!

I know I said that I would post our Christmas card at some point…and then I never did. I think everyone has received their cards by now, so I am not spoiling anything.

It took me hours to decide on a design – and I still have several projects saved in my account that are great designs. But I loved this one.

In November, when my brother was home, we met with my photographer friend to take some family photos. I never posted the pictures, with the intentions of using one on our card…which we did. Also in November, we had a photo shoot with Chloe. I dressed her up in her Mrs. Paws hat and the husband tried to distract her so she wouldn’t look SO angry in the pictures.

We ordered 50 photo cards, and then realized that it wasn’t enough, so there is a second card that we bought in a hurry one Saturday morning. (So if you’re reading this and realize that you didn’t get the above card, it isn’t that we like you any less. And the second round of cards were larger!)

(And, yes, I’ve eliminated our last name, and my husband’s name since I don’t use either very much on my blog. And I understand that if you wanted to find it, it would be pretty easy, but amuse me for a moment and pretend that part of us is still anonymous.)

I have big plans for next year’s card. Just wait…
