our trip
The trip was uneventful. We left Asheville before 5, and stopped in Spartanburg for dinner. Couldn’t agree on a place to eat (we normally stop at Wendy’s) and we ended up at Taco Bell. Haven’t eaten there in f.o.r.e.v.e.r.
Two hours later, we were snacking on rice cakes. Talk about ironic.
We visited places I hated last night. Taco Bell and Wal-Mart. What are the odds? I did buy a Gossip Girl book at Wal-Mart, though. I might start reading it today, but I’m determined to finish the final Harry Potter book (which I think I’ve been reading for over a year.)
Now I’m rested, showered, and waiting…..we’re having lunch with the sister-in-law and the people she works with today. Not sure what else is on the agenda.
I am determined to run. At some point. Between Thanksgiving and Taco Bell, I’m seriously going to need to run. We talked about how we’re not going to be running the Turkey Trot 5k tomorrow, so I think we’re going to run our own 5k. It’ll at least be free. And we won’t have to wake up so early and stress about registration and packet pick-up 🙂

Am I gonna have to come sit on you to make you finish Harry Potter? You have been reading that book for about a year now! BTW..I hate Taco Bell and Wal mart too. Taco Bell makes me sick and I have to shop at wal mart occasionally. There is no where else here to shop, but I dread each trip just the same! Have fun visiting the in laws…mine are arriving tonight and I KNOW I am gonna have a blast! lol
We all wish you, Kenny and his family a very Happy Thanksgiving. Your Dad and Gail should be here by about 7 PM tonite, I think. Erin, Her boyfriend Andy and Uncle Al are preparing the turkey and stuffing at her house, including the baking. Most everything else will be done here at our house and then, Andy’s parents will join all of us, her at our house for Thanksgiving dinner. We could really do a progressive dinner pretty easily!!! Steph, if you could come read the rest of the book to me, that might be helpful. I have 259 pages remaining (I just hit the 500 mark – it’s taken 2 hours to read one chapter.)
