out with the old camera

….and in with the new!

Let me introduce you to my new digital camera, the Nikon Coolpix S220 – in Plum. I love it. It was delivered on Tuesday and I had about 2 minutes to check it out (and plug the charger in so I could play with it when I got home from ceramics.)

But it’s here. And I’m pretty psyched about it. I’ve already tested some pictures in the house (it’s dark outside) and they’re pretty awesome. The pictures are of my messy guest room, the cat and me. They won’t be posted.

This is a comparison between the new camera and my mom’s digital (my old digital isn’t even worth talking about.) Oh, and I painted these ornaments tonight in ceramics class.

Old, borrowed camera:

New Nikon:

Not much of a difference from the borrowed camera (an Olympus digital camera) but oh so different from my old camera, which paused for several seconds between pictures. And it won’t accept a memory card larger than 256MB. Not good for vacations that I want to take lots of pictures on!

Get ready for pictures. Lots and lots of pictures!
