We are staring down the official start of summer, and with that means warmer weather, plenty of sun and grilling out any chance we can get. My family loves hamburgers and hot dogs – even more when I pair the with Pepperidge Farm® Hamburger and Hot Dog Buns.

I’m going to be completely honest here – up until recent years, I did not make the most flavorful hamburgers. A couple of years ago, I was introduced to a burger seasoning and I happened to run out of it recently. Then I had to really think what my family would enjoy. I settled on paprika, garlic powder and salt – and I have had zero complaints. Only requests for seconds. 

I’ve made burgers with this spice combination a few times now, and each time I am surprised by how good they taste. 

How to create the best burger:

1 pound of beef
2 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. garlic powder
dash of salt

Mix the spices into your beef and then make four burger patties. Grill to perfection. (I normally grill around 8 minutes.) Pair the burgers with Pepperidge Farm® Bakery Classics Hamburger Buns and top with your choice of toppings. And enjoy! 

Of course toppings are another story. I prefer ketchup and pickles, occasionally adding tomatoes or lettuce. My husband prefers everything except pickles. My son only likes ketchup and my daughter prefers nothing. She’s an interesting character.

If you’re grilling burgers, you should probably throw some hot dogs on there too. They take considerably less time, and are so simple – and most people love a great hot dog! They also fit perfectly into the top of the Pepperidge Farm® Bakery Classics Top Sliced Hot Dog Buns. For what it’s worth, my daughter can’t quite eat a hamburger or hot dog on a bun (her mouth is still a little too small) but she’ll eat the bun on the side. She really knows what tastes good!
