I received a Personalized Hallmark Ornament in exchange for this review. All opinions are my own and no other compensation was exchanged.
I have memories of Hallmark ornaments that go back many years. I remember shopping with my mom (or seeing the ornaments she brought home after visiting Hallmark) and finding ornaments to complete a set or mark a special occasion. My best friend’s mom worked at a Hallmark store for a lot of years, and her ornament collection was vast.
Now my own Christmas tree is decked out in ornaments from my Eeyore-loving phase back in college, my ever-loving Lion King-loving phase (that one will never die.) We have Hallmark ornaments marking our first Christmas as a married couple, the year we bought our house and even our cat’s first Christmas with us. Of course we have several ornaments that marked our son’s first Christmas – and we’ve started building a collection for him.
This past weekend I took a photo of my son as he was admiring the lights on our tree. It wasn’t a staged photo, but I had several comments on Instagram and Facebook that I should consider making it into our Christmas card. Seeing how our cards were ordered weeks ago, I took the opportunity to turn it into an ornament!
Hallmark makes personalizing ornaments simple. They have various designs including the blank horizontal ornament I selected to put a photo on. They have ornaments ranging from Mickey Mouse to first Christmases to ornaments you can upload photos to. (I can see photos from an epic 2015 trip going on an ornament!)
And now I have a giveaway for one fabulous reader who wants (needs?) a personalized Hallmark Ornament.
Enter the Rafflecopter below! Because I want you to be able to order your ornament and receive it before Christmas, this giveaway will end the evening of December 13. A winner will be announced on December 14 and needs to respond within 24 hours before I select a second name.
What kinds of ornaments do you collect?
(I just recently did a post on making a Star Wars wreath using Hallmark Ornaments I purchased at Walmart. Have you seen it?)
