I spent a few days this past week writing thank you cards. I have a board I’m responsible for, and about half of my board members showed up for a meeting, and then the next day to help me with a graduation reception. This was my first “official” meeting with them and they went above and beyond to help me. So I felt it was necessary to let them know just how much I appreciated them.
I sat down after I came out of my graduation fog and began writing notes. It took me a few hours over three days, but I got them written. I even have my own personalized university stationery. I think it’s pretty cool, and when I started I couldn’t help but think, “what am I going to do with all of this stationary?” Write notes, obviously.
Thank you notes are still in style, whether you believe in writing them or not. Who doesn’t love receiving a handwritten note? And if it isn’t a thank you card, who doesn’t love receiving a “just because” note from a friend or relative? I love it. I want more of those notes, and fewer bills, if that’s ok with the universe.
Thankfully, we have companies like Minted who are still in the business of creating personalized stationery. You can find something for a man, woman and even a child. (I love the children’s stationery. I am so buying some for when my son is able to write his own thank you notes. For now, I order cards along with his invitations and everything matches.)
I love the whimsical designs – and even different shapes! – you can order from Minted. You can even add your own photo, which would be great for shower thank you notes or for holiday thank you cards. I’m a huge fan of adding photos to cards. I’m also a huge fan of the quality of Minted’s cards. Their paper is thick and their printing is top notch. I did have one printing issue last Christmas, and they took care of the issue SO fast. (So their customer service is also top notch.)
Graduation is upon us, wedding season is kicking into high gear and I believe that baby season (showers and babies being born) is all year-round. Now’s the time to order your stationery so you’re prepared to congratulate and/or thank someone!
Disclosure: I’m receiving a credit to Minted, but all opinions expressed here are my own. No other compensation was exchanged. I should probably send them a thank you note for the credit they’re giving me for talking about them. We could do this all day.
