planning a (mini)vacation
The husband and I started talking this evening about possible mini-vacations we could take this summer. I mentioned Washington, DC (on a long weekend.) Neither of us has ever been there and it would be fun to check out the sites. The husband is all about history (and I go along because it’s fun.) Then he mentioned we should check out other affordable places to visit this summer, just in case DC isn’t as cool as we think.
Which brings me to my fellow blog readers. Where would you go within driving distance of Western North Carolina? I’d love to visit Charleston, since it’s always one of my favorite places to visit. We don’t necessarily have to stay on the coast, but I’d like to stay within 8 hours of driving time.
I need ideas. Oh, and we’re not planning to take multiple mini-cations. We don’t have that kind of money. So hit me with your best city!
Add an extra hour and head to Walt Disney World! I think I know someone who might be able to help you plan the trip! ;^)
I considered that option – and you know you will be the first one to know if we ever head to Disney. We couldn’t go and not consult with you!
I have always wanted to visit Savannah Ga. Not sure why, but it sounds cool.
