playtime at Antler Hill Village on Biltmore Estate
My boy didn’t have daycare on Monday, and my husband and I technically had to work, but I took the day off. Since the husband was at work, and a friend suggested we meet up at Biltmore, we decided on a get together at Antler Hill Village so Lucas could play.
And play, he did. He made friends like a champion and showed kids how to slide down the slide – like a BOSS. He was fairly well-behaved (which is saying a lot if you saw how he melted down later that day) and he was just a pleasure to be around and watch.
He also thought Biltmore was “Carol’s house.” And when we drove onto the estate grounds, he thought we were at the zoo. It was all very cute, because he’s very cute.
I’ve only recently discovered this play area at Biltmore, and it’s so worth the annual pass. I had thought we would have time to check out the gardens and at least drive by the house, but we spent two hours walking around Antler Hill Village – and we still didn’t pet any of the animals (we did see goats and chickens, but didn’t get too close, and the petting area was technically not open yet.)
Do you have a fun local landmark that you enjoy visiting on a regular basis? I’m so glad we have annual passes. They seem pricey when I renew them, but they’re so worth it during the year!
That looks like a fun little playground. My boys would be in heaven!
Looks like a great place and your son had a great time :-).We have a small safari drive through place that we have been so many times its hard to count,The kids ask to go all the time,They also have a petting zoo area which is really nice.
What a cutie patootie! Looks like he enjoyed his day playing with Mom.
Looks like he had a great time and he is so precious!
No historical landmark by us – but we do have a few state parks that are gorgeous that we visit often.
I’ve always wanted to go to Biltmore Estate. My husband said there was a lot there but I didn’t believe him…now every time I see someone talking about it I never see the same thing twice lol.
He looks like he is having a ball! Fun times for him!
Great pictures of your baby! I love the one with him peeking! Beautiful eyes!
He looks like he had so much fun. I really love your pictures and his hat!
I love that he thought it was a house and the zoo. That is just so dear! He’s certainly a sweet little tike!
My son would LOVE that playground! Your little kiddo is too cute; LOVING that Elmo hat!
Red would have tried to crawl INTO the fountain. I like the sunhat!
What a great little park. Some friends and I recently met up and one and it was so nice…and shady, too!
We have a few places we like to visit outdoors before it gets too hot. Which reminds me. I need to get annual passes to our local zoo. I think I’ll take the kids there a lot this summer, especially in the early part of the day or later in the evening when it cools off a bit.
What a cute park! We don’t have anything like that near us, unfortunately.
What a great playground. I love places like this
That smile really says it all. This looks like great fun.
Cute sunhat! You remind me that I need one for my little dude.
That playground looks awesome! My kids would have a blast there!
My kids are older now so they aren’t really into days out like this, but I sure miss those days of going to the museum. I do drag them along with me to my design centers…I think they like it more than they are willing to admit
Oh my gosh, he’s cute as can be. I love the pics of him peeking over the top of the box!!
Your son is just adorable. Looks like a fun day!
He’s adorable! There are lots of places in our part of Florida that are fun to visit.
We have a couple lighthouses near us that are neat to visit. Looks like you had a nice day playing hookey!
So stinkin’ cute! I had no idea they had that play area! Totally worth the pass! Glad you had fun.
What a cutie you have! Looks like you had a blast!
I love his little face peering over the playsets. Such great memories!
It looks like y’all had such a great time. Amazing pictures as well!
How adorable?!? I love the hat! Yay! I’m so glad it’s nice out and we can enjoy being outside!
There’s a pioneer village at one of the local parks and I love going during their heritage days. Other than that, we like to find things one at a time – always doing something different.
Your son is adorable. Love the hat. I miss that age – my kiddos are all growing too fast. But we still go to local parks too
What a beautiful day with your boy! I love Asheville; it would be a wonderful place to live š he’s so cute on that tractor!! <3
What a gorgeous day. Looks like your little one was having a grand time.
That looks like a great time! We make it up to the Biltmore area about once a year; I’ll have to find this spot.
What fabulous place to visit. I think buying passes always out weighs the cost. You get your money’s worth in a couple visits.
when my kids were younger we ha zoo passes. But the Biltmore must be so much fun for the family!
So cute! When my husband and I visited North Carolina a couple of months ago, we were hoping to fit in a visit to the Biltmore Estate, but just didn’t have the time. I would even play in the kid’s area, hehe.
