Tomorrow morning I head out for a 7-mile run with my team. It’s 7 miles for the team, but I’ll be running a few extra so I’m ready for my race in a couple of weeks.

If you’ll look to the right of this page, you can see the giant Team in Training logo staring you in the face. And if you click on it, you’ll see that I’ve raised $245 in just a couple of weeks, which is fantastic, but I have a long way to go with my efforts. (Can’t see the logo? Click here.)

If you’re able to donate anything to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, I hope you’ll consider it. The smallest of donations really add up, and they’re greatly appreciated!!

I lost my friend to Hodgkins disease in 2001. She was my RA in college, was married and had a very young son when she passed away. Of course, in 2008 I began training to run in honor of Paxten and then he passed away at age 3.

Donations go towards research to find a cure for blood cancers, as well as provide help to patients and families dealing with the disease.

Again, if you can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

  1. I posted a link on my profile, you never know who it might move to donate, and my aunt is a survivor so she may be interested in participating in one of the future events herself.
