Pokémon Pikachu paper craft DIY
This Pikachu paper craft is easy enough for kids to make and a fun activity for any Pokémon fan.
My son has loved Pokémon since he was 5. We got him a couple of small packs of cards to play with and a year later, we found a local Pokémon league. Sadly, he hasn’t been able to play in person the past two years, but that hasn’t stopped him from playing the game with his dad, teaching his sister or making any Pokémon related crafts.

I shared these Pokémon puppets previously, and I’m loving this little Pikachu paper craft now.
What do you need to make this Pikachu toilet paper roll craft?
- Colored construction paper
- Empty toilet paper roll
- Craft glue
- Sharpie
- Pencil
- Scissors
How do you make Pikachu?
Step one – Cut about an inch off of your empty toilet paper roll. You may also skip this step, if you want Pikachu to be a little taller.
Step two – Wrap and cover the toilet paper roll with a yellow paper. Use glue to secure the construction paper.
Step three – Trace the Pikachu patterns from the template on your selected construction paper. Trace the head, ears, tail and arms on yellow paper, the 2 small round shapes on red paper and the mouth on pink paper. Cut out the traced patterns.
Step four – Use a sharpie to fill a small area of the ear cut-out’s top end using black sharpie. Also fill an inch of the tail cut-out’s bottom part using a brown marker.
Step five – Glue the eyes and mouth cutouts on the head cutout.
Step six – Stick the blush cutouts on both cheeks. Use a black sharpie to draw the nose, mouth and eyes outline.
Step seven – Glue the head pattern on either end of the paper wrapped cardboard roll. Fold a half of a centimeter of the straight ends of the arm cutouts and the narrow end of the tail cutout. Apply glue on the folded parts.
Step eight – Attach the arm cutouts on both sides of the cardboard roll, keeping the head in the middle of the arms. Stick the tail cutout on either side of the roll, slightly towards the backside of the roll.
