It’s true. I have 20 weeks or less left in this pregnancy. (I know this because my doctor won’t let me go longer than 41 weeks, and my son was born right at 41 weeks. I’m good with going a week or so early!)
What’s going on this week….I ran 2 miles on Saturday and followed that with 30 minutes in the pool with Lucas. I was fairly sore the rest of the day. I’ve tried pilates, which I enjoyed. We had another ultrasound and got some cool photos. Our previous ultrasound was just two weeks ago and we got a short 5 second video out of that. (She just wasn’t cooperating for measurements, so we had to schedule a follow-up. All is good.)
Want to know what has crazy measurements? Me.
How far along am: 21 weeks
Size of baby: About the size of a large banana. (This was taken from the McLittle update.) I think they estimated her to be around 20 ounces? My memory is just fuzzy from minute to minute – not day to day.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I’m (still) not keeping up with this.
Clothes: All maternity clothes, with a few regular yoga pants thrown in for fun. Gap makes “simple pants” that used to be their yoga pants, and they. are. awesome.
Gender: Still a girl! They verified this again in the ultrasound, but we’ve known before people even knew we were expecting.
Movement: Yep. Lots of it now. She prefers to lay straight across so I often feel her head.
Sleep: I could use more of it. I can always use more sleep. Always, always. My biggest problem is not being able to fall back to sleep if I wake in the middle of the night.
What I miss:Walking without feeling like I’ve just sprinted. Regular clothes.
Cravings: This week I wanted salad and breadsticks from Olive Garden. So that’s what we got.
Symptoms: Out of breath all of the time. Exhaustion. Random pains.
Best moment this week: Figuring out what the tightness was near my ribs – it was her head, and it was verified through the targeted ultrasound.
Still working on a baby nickname. As with the first, we won’t be discussing the real name until after she’s born. McLittle was a fun name for our boy. Now I’m still debating the nickname for our girl!

Congratulations! I did not know you were expecting. I missed that one. A girl will be delightful.
