Has anyone out there ever tried Oxyclean for cleaning, laundry or just for fun?

I tried it a few weeks ago. On a whim, I bought a small container at Target – my favorite store ever – and figured I’d try it sometime. I tried it on laundry, and I swear by the stuff.

I’ve tried it on:

Funk in the laundry, namely the laundry that gets left in the washer too long before taking it out to dry, is gone.
Funk in towels from Kenny leaving them in the ___ (insert location here – could be floor, bed, chair, wherever).
Random stains in clothes.
Random stains in sink.
Stains on our carpet.
Stains anywhere.

I swear I think Oxyclean can solve the world’s problems. I even bought a jumbo tub of it this weekend. It’s on sale at Target.

OxyClean even offers 101 stains to use their product on. Awesome.

Kenny just had a daiquiri explode on him and our carpet. A month ago I would have freaked out. Tonight I just said, “have you tried oxyclean on it? It’ll be fine.”

Because, really. It’s going to be fine.

  1. I too Love Love Love Oxyclean! I was converted into a believer when it took out grease stains on their Scout uniform shirts that I had treated and laundered several times. I use it in every load now. I even took it on vacation with us, hey you never know. lol.

You might want to check and see if it would be more economical for you, Sams carries a bulk box of Oxyclean for $15.00. Once you have a few containers to refill (I have 2 big tubs and 3 smaller containers) that I refill as needed from the big box. I think it works out to be $0.14 per ounce. For us it just works out to be the better value.

  2. We actually bought it at Sam’s Club this last time and we’ve been using it for MONTHS (the box from Sam’s.) I use it in every load of laundry, and we eliminated the bleach. No need for it now!
