a rainy/sunny Saturday
I woke up to rain – and lots of it. I was hopeful that it would rain all day long, so I’d be a lot little more motivated to clean our office out. (The office is going to become a nursery in the very near future.) The weather people were warning us of rain and clouds all day and the National Weather Service had predicted 90% chance of rain.
And wouldn’t you know, the skies cleared up and the sun was shining by 11 a.m. Goodbye, motivation.
We did make it to a furniture store this morning (one that’s going out of business, but whose prices are still way too high) and then the farmers market. And then Kenny forced me convinced me to help clean the office. So far, we’re about half way to a point where we could move our desks out.
This evening I managed to plant our broccoli and an azalea bush (let’s see if I can keep this one alive!) before embarking on a pretty big freelance project that needs to be completed by Monday.
It’s been a Saturday full of stuff. I can’t really complain. But I think I could use a rainy day so I don’t feel so guilty for staying indoors.
Are you moving your offices down stairs? Just wait, one of these days, you’ll get the “spurt of energy” that”s driving Erin this week. I keep reminding Andy, better now than Hot July-August!! He just smiles…Love to all, Aunt Linda
Aunt Linda, I’ve had that burst of energy….Unfortunately (?) I’m applying it to everything outdoors. Our garden is almost completely planted! So maybe we’ll have plenty of fruits and vegetables – but no place for the baby sleep this summer.
You’ll make it!!! Grandma sends her love & enjoys seeing your updates on my computer, when she’s here. Love ya.
