Ranch Pork Chops in the Crock-Pot {Recipe}
I love my slow cooker, and I’ve been enjoying trying new recipes the past couple of months. This Ranch Pork Chops in the Crock-Pot recipe is a new one for us. My kids are tired of chicken, so a few months ago I thought they might like pork chops – if cooked properly. These ranch pork chops made in the slow cooker are so moist and delicious that it made its way into our weekly recipe rotation for about a month before we started to alternate it with other meals.
What you need to make Ranch Pork Chops in the Crock-Pot:
- 2 pounds of boneless pork chops (about 2.5 or 3 pounds of bone-in pork chops)
- 1 packet of the dry Ranch dressing
- 1 can of cream of chicken soup
How to make pork chops in the Crock-Pot:
Step 1: Mix your cream of chicken soup with the dry ranch dressing.
Step 2: Place your pork chops into the slow cooker, and pour the soup mixture over the pork chops.
Step 3: Cook on low about 6-8 hours.
When I made the recipe with bone-in pork chops, they would fall right off the bone and were trickier to get out of the slow cooker. I prefer the boneless pork chops anyway, and now try to go with those. We do about 6-8 pork chops, and have leftovers for lunch (and occasionally a little more leftover if one of the kids wants them a second dinner in a row.)
I serve them with a steamed vegetable. My kids LOVE this recipe, and it really is very good! My son has braces, and some meat can be tougher for him to chew. These ranch pork chops have given him no problems at all.
When I was out grocery shopping last week, preparing to be home bound for a couple of weeks, I was fortunate to find pork chops. I was looking for all of the other meat (beef, chicken, even turkey!) and thankfully the pork was almost fully stocked. I bought almost 3 pounds and intend to make them again very soon – or even sooner if my kids start boycotting all of the chicken I’m cooking.
And even though we are home bound – and cooking dinner shouldn’t be as time sensitive – I’ve really liked sticking everything in the slow cooker and getting to smell the food throughout the day. The kids are still impatient and begging for food by 5:00 (gives a whole new meaning to the “5:00 somewhere” saying) and my Crock-Pot is the real winner at dinnertime.
