a random Monday
I’m blogging during my “lunch hour.” I ate lunch at my desk, and since I have a break before yet another meeting, I figured I could get the random thoughts out of my head.
–I was late to work this morning. Why? Because I just HAD to get fruit ready for the dehydrator. Bananas and apples. I decided this at 8:00. Yeah, not wise, but at least I have five trays of fruit dehydrating and it’ll be ready by Wednesday before work.
–I’m still on the 30-day Shred bandwagon. I decided to head into the third level yesterday and I’m liking it. I decided this morning that I’d do the third level for two weeks and then maybe start the whole program again, but with even heavier weights? This morning I did the workout with 5-pound weights and my arms HURT.
–At 10:30 last night I decided that it was time to put away clothes and start more laundry. I don’t know what is happening to me. Sunday nights are terrible for me because I want to relax so much during the day, and I end up feeling productive after 10 p.m. It obviously doesn’t bode well for Monday mornings.
–We got our new bed Saturday and by Saturday night, I had sold the old bedframe on Craigslist. It was my first time selling something on that site. It was a success. I sold it for $5 less than what I paid for it in 2000. And it was a good price (seeing how I originally bought it at a yard sale) and it went to a family that really needed it. Score one for several people.
–TV season is in full swing for me. I’m hooked on so many shows (and Lost starts next week!!) We’ve gotten hooked on a few that are on our free On-Demand channels. And my husband has gotten into “Jersey Shore.” Lord, help us….
–I found that the songs performed on Friday night’s Help Haiti Now benefit are now available on iTunes, which makes me happy. I am curious as to whether or not the album purchase will help benefit Haiti…I’m hoping so (before I buy the album.)
I think that’s all my brain can handle for this lunch break. Must get back to work. How’s your Monday going?
I do the same thing sometimes – I try to finish the chores right before bedtime Sunday night and end up becoming a frantic mess….
Our Monday is wet & wild! It started raining yesterday afternoon, mid 50’s with very fast melting snow….Streets are flooding, back yards flooding & the rivers are rising extremely fast! Many schools (rural) started dismissing from noon on, along with all after school activities & late buses. Of course our community, being surrounded by at least 2 large rivers, gets nervous when all this happens…..
Aunt Linda, you win for the wildest Monday. We’re experiencing our own flooding, and the rivers are supposed to crest this afternoon. Good thing I live on a hill – feel bad for those that live below me, though. They get everything that runs off our yard.
Shannon, I was a MESS this morning! And then remembered my boss’s speech from last week when she told me not to be so stressed. So I calmed down and continued my dehydrating project š
I liked level 3 of the 30 day shred so much more than level 2…good for you for using 5 lbs weights…that is tough!
Oh and the banana chips still sounds amazing. How many bananas do you normally do at a time?
I like the circuit 2 of level 3 on the Shred DVD. (I know that loses a lot of people who have never seen it!) š
The banana chips are awesome. With five trays, I can usually fit 10 or 11 sliced bananas in. When I cut them yesterday, I got about 6 bananas and 4 or 5 apples. It was a tight squeeze. I highly, highly recommend a dehydrator for anyone. We’ve eaten SO much more fruit since we got ours!
