random questions

I’ve been on twitter a lot today – at work and now at home while the vice presidential debate is taking place on tv. (I’m trying not to watch too much of it, because I really want to go to bed soon.)

Social media makes me batty during political seasons. I’m not one to vent about politics on facebook or twitter – or my blog, for that matter – and both of my accounts are just flooded with politics tonight. And then I started thinking of random things and tweeting a few questions. A few people have responded, which has been fun. So here goes. Random questions…

Do you add salt to apples? (My husband was doing this tonight. I thought it was a little weird.)

Do you remember when Cracker Jacks had toys in the boxes? Do kids these days realize that there used to be toys, and not just some paper “toy”?

If you had 48 hours notice that guests were coming to visit, would you focus on cleaning the house? Or just let it be and hope they don’t really notice (because, hey, you had 48 hours notice.)

Are you a baseball fan? (Go Yankees!)

And are you more of a cat person or a dog person?

Do you avoid social media during the political season, as I do?

Have any questions for me? I’m all eyes (since I can’t hear you on here.)

  1. Salt on apples is just weird.
I remember when Cracker Jacks had toys and not just press on tattoos or something.
With 48 hours I’d clean at least the main floor and bathroom.
Baseball – Go Cubs! (that’s really hard to admit)
    Meow!
Avoid social media like the plague. I almost blocked some family members on FB because I’m sick of the posts.

    1. I have friends I’m avoiding. Or planning on not talking to after the election – no matter what the outcome. I think it’s just understood that we won’t speak for a couple of weeks because somebody’s going to be disappointed!

  2. yes. its delicious.
no. i’ve never wanted cracker jacks. don’t like carmel
of course i’d clean. would be spotless in 24 hours!
    Go Yankees! (and Angels)
Neither, but if i had to pick one dog. But neither. Or any animal really.
I avoid my husband political season if i can. Last night “I guess you’ll be in bed by 9 tonight.” Yeeeeeeeep.

when you have a booger you just HAVE to pick, do you go bare handed then wash up really well afterward or do you use a tissue-condom?

    1. Considering my workday yesterday, I didn’t have a whole lot of time to clean. And here I sit….still working. Oh well!

And kleenex. Always. I have boxes of tissue stockpiled because I’m obsessed with having it accessible in every possible room. šŸ™‚
