I redesigned the ‘ole blog on Friday night. It’s definitely a work in progress, but I already love it SO much more! (If you’re reading this in a reader, won’t you click out and take a look?) I finally invested in some WordPress “stuff” and I’m so excited I did this.

We had a rough weekend with the toddler. I’m fairly certain it was a result of being trapped inside for two days, and when we left the house Sunday afternoon, he was his hilarious, kind toddler-self. When we returned home? Awful. Two. It’s hard, y’all.

Except when he wakes up on Saturday morning and has pulled his pajama top to his waist. The kid doesn’t do two-piece outfits very well. He insists on pulling his shirts/pants off. Sigh. At least he’s funny. And cute.

011814 I was doing really well at not drinking soda this past summer. Then when I was laid off? All bets were off. Now the addiction has reached epic proportions and I need to drop it like a bad habit. Because it is a bad habit. It’s so awful for me, I know, and I feel better when I don’t drink soda. I know all this. Then why can’t I stoppppp?

I did some Project Life-ing this weekend and I’m not super sold on the pages. I need a little more inspiration/guidance, I think. I have so many photos and used so few cards on the pages/layouts (so I could really maximize the pages, I guess.) Is it okay if I have five pages from my husband’s graduation party? (Because I took pictures of him with each of our guests. And I don’t want to leave anybody out.)

projectlife011814 (This is from Sesame Street Live, obviously. And I haven’t journaled it yet.)

On Sunday, we took the boy to the play area at the mall, just so he could run off some energy. Every parent in Asheville was there. He met another boy, a few months older, who he quickly friended and they just had the best time. Then a little girl (maybe a year younger?) was running after my boy, trying to tickle and hug him. He wasn’t having any of it. And I got this great photo (which I posted on Instagram.) It’s hilarious and I’m glad it blurred her out.

insta011914 Do you watch The Voice? On Thursday, Will Champlin (second runner-up on last season) followed me on Twitter. He was my favorite the entire season, so of course I totally geeked out. The difference about my new employer versus my old employer? I have no co-workers who love celebrity gossip as much as I do. So I immediately texted my friend Carol, because she would relish in this information.

Will Champlin followed me!

I mean, seriously. It ranked up there with the time Jane Green tweeted at me.

Have you ever had someone who you stalk admire/are a huge fan of their work tweet/follow/comment you on social media?

  1. That’s so fun that you now have people to chat up about all things celebrity. I’m in the process of quitting diet soda so I feel your pain big time. I’m converting to caffeine-free now and then it’ll be a cold turkey thing. Good luck!

  2. hmmmm, I don’t think I ever had a celeb tweet to me or follow me on Twitter. But I did have The Gap and Delta get back to me when I have commented to them, that was cool!

  3. I feel so lost with my photo and memory storage these days. I have tons of photos packed away safely and scrapbooks galore. I used to be really into it but now I feel I have no inspiration or push to get them done creatively!

  4. This is my first time visiting your blog and I like what I see so far so you did a great job. Sounds like you were very busy over the weekend, but it was all for the good. šŸ™‚

  5. I remember when a blogger I really admire (and still to this day!) answered one of my Tweets and started following me. We chat every once in a while and I’m always flattered when she reaches out!

  6. Umm, I don’t follow too many celebrities on Twitter and I don’t think any of them have ever acknowledged me lol. Sounds like you had a busy weekend. And if you think 2 is hard, wait until 3!

  7. Age two – my son never changed after that age. The youngest one – he is a handful to say the last, even now at 5 but I “think” he is slowing down being in Kinder all day. Today we are all home sick so I am just running around doing the comment love and fighting off fevers and sickies. Have a beautiful week!

  8. Isn’t it fun to redo your blog sometimes?

I feel ya on the soda thing! I’m trying to cut back on my soda drinking as well. I’ve basically cut down on them at home except when I first wake up on off days and at work. other times, I’m okay. Good luck!

  9. I haven’t had a “tweet OMG ” moment yet. I was trying to figure out who I would do that from. I do think I’ve had a few “I got retweeted by…” moments. šŸ™‚

  10. Sounds like an eventful week! I also have problems picking an dchoosing which photos to use while I scrapbook.
