Recipe: Summertime Lemonade Cocktail (or mocktail!)
We are fresh off of vacation, but mentally I think I’ve been in summer-mode for a while. In the summer, we love to have drinks on our back porch (complete with snacks) on the weekends or perfect summer evenings. This lemonade cocktail is perfect for our weekend porch dates. It’s also great for hosting friends or even larger summer parties.
Not a fan of the cocktail? No worries. You can make a pretty mocktail and have a fun take on a classic glass of lemonade.
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh lemonade, prepared
2-3 oz. bourbon or whiskey- whichever you prefer
Splash of lemon lime soda
Mint to garnish
Fresh lemon slices to garnish
Directions:
Add lemonade, bourbon or whiskey, and lemon lime soda to a glass and stir. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices. Enjoy!
To make it alcohol-free, omit the liquor and add 1/2 cup lemon lime soda.
You know what this would pair well with? My basil hummus and chips.
What are you enjoying most about summer?
