In just a few short months, we’ll be welcoming a baby into our family. When our son was born, I wanted to capture everything I could in photos and through a memory book that I somewhat kept up with. With the help of my mom, we did get to do imprints of his hands and feet, and oh what an experience that was.

In the world of Pinterest, I’m too tired to come up with something original that will work the first time and preserve the tiny hand prints. I also love scrapbooking, but keeping up with all the memories the first year brings is hard to do on the fly.

Over the holidays, I received a Remember When memory keeping album – perfect for keeping up with baby girl for her first five years. I also received a handprint kit, a sweet plaque for her room (you know, when we finally get a chance to change bedrooms around) and a plush rattle I know she’ll love playing with.

I’m so excited about the handprint kit. It has everything we need to take her handprints during her first days at home.

And the Remember When memory keeping album is great because I can start adding bits from the pregnancy and the book isn’t overly complicated to complete! There are places to add photos and envelopes to hold items like the first tooth that falls out, or how about a lock of hair from the first haircut? (Not surprisingly, our son had his first haircut months before he turned a year old. I’m anxious to see if our daughter has a lot of hair too!)

  1. Congratulations – how exciting! This looks a great it – I took a cast of my youngest’s feet when he was 4 months old. I had a thing about his tiny feet! Kaz šŸ™‚

  2. This really would make the perfect baby shower gift and something more personal than the usual gift card that I give. I wish I would have had something like this many years ago. But now I know what to give friends and family that are expecting.
