a resolutions update

Kelly is continuing the “show us how you live” themes on her blog, which I love. It gives me something to talk about every week!

My resolutions were to limit my computer time at home, be healthier, save more money. So far, I’m 3-for-3!

I’ve managed to stay off the computer more at night. That was one of my biggest challenges. I don’t really have a lot of freelance work going on right now, so I can devote my time to my husband and mindless television shows. (The Bachelor started this week, so I have that to get sucked into…though I didn’t really watch the entire premier on Monday.)

As far as being healthier, I’ve worked out every day using the Wii Fit. The “game” is working me like I haven’t been worked in a while. My legs hurt from the “walking.” My abs hurt for four days. I finally gave them a break for one day, only to hurt all over again when I did the abs workout.

And the saving money part? I’ve done pretty well with the eat-in challenge. We figured out that if we stick with this for the month, we’ll save around $250 for the month. On an average week, we eat out on Friday nights, Saturday for lunch and a lot of times on Saturday nights. It adds up. Oh, and the eat-in challenge is helping me by eating healthier.

So how are your resolutions going? Did you make any?

  1. Congrats on 3 for 3. So do you like the wii fit more then the 30 day shred? I already have the fit. I could save the money since that was one of my resolutions.

Freelance is so slow this time a year. I am ready for it to pick back up.

  2. The Wii Fit is a really good start. I’ve liked it a lot over the past two weeks and make sure that I’m getting in at least 30 minutes of exercise to make it worth the effort. I ended up getting the Shred DVD on Amazon for under $10, though, so that was a huge investment for 2009 šŸ™‚

  3. I agree with your challenge of limiting the time on the computer at home, it can easily become an hour that I’ve been checking on things. I am going to ry to limit it to 30 minutes a night during the week and hopefully can catch up some at lunch!
