I was approached earlier this month about trying out WaterWipes (baby wipes). I was intrigued by the description of the wipes being biodegradable and made from renewable resources. Also? The ingredients list is short. The shorter the list, the better in my opinion, so I agreed to try them out.

Our baby is sensitive to everything, it seems. There are certain diapers we can’t use because of his reaction. We generally use gDiapers and Huggies Pure & Natural diapers. As for wipes, we go for the fragrance free and natural. As natural as we can tolerate, at least. We did try some 7th Generation wipes and they were dry, rough and did not do the job we needed them to do.

In addition to the biodegradable pure viscose the WaterWipes are made of, they contain two ingredients – water and grapefruit seed extract. That’s it.

I was surprised at how thick they were. We used them on a couple of big “jobs” to really test them out. And they really worked. They were soft, not dry, and didn’t irritate the baby’s skin. With other wipes, we would have to use several (as in 3 or more) to get him really clean, and with the WaterWipes, I had to use 2 at most.

WaterWipes are currently available on Amazon.

And find them on Facebook!

In addition to the sample I received to try out, I also received a sample pack (of 10 wipes) to give away. You can get an entry by commenting on this post (tell me what brand baby wipes you use!). Feel free to comment each day for an additional entry. (I was going to use a fun widget for the giveaway, but I’m not 100% sure how it was going to work, so we’re going old school again.)

Giveaway starts now, and will end on Thursday, April 5. I’ll announce a winner on Friday, April 6.

Disclaimer stuff: I wasn’t paid for this post. I received a sample of WaterWipes to review and one to give away. All opinions are my own.

  1. We use Huggies wipes because we can get a gigantic box at Costco. I agree, that sometimes it takes MULTIPLE wipes to get the job done. We go thru tons!
