Round-up of our week
Lots and lots of stuff happening. We’re house hunting (found an awesome house, just apprehensive as first time homebuyers), Jason was in town all week, one of my close friends left the C-T this week so there were celebrations for her, and then it was announced that James Taylor would be performing in Asheville on Sunday!
I love James Taylor and really got into him during college, when I was roommates with a music major. Hallie introduced me to a LOT of great musicians freshman year of college! So I was really psyched when I saw he was coming here (having never seen him live before) and that tickets would be free. Luckily, I got two and a friend of mine gave me two for my mom and Ros. I tried to get more, but they ran out pretty quickly. The concert is on Sunday night, and it’s a rally for Obama. Should be interesting…
The house hunt is on. I’ll keep you updated as much I can, but we don’t want to jinx anything right now.
Mai’s last day at the C-T was yesterday, so I baked a cake (the cupcake) and we went to the Yacht Club after work last night. It was really fun – I was designated driver, so I didn’t take part in the drinking fun. Most of my co-workers are pretty awesome, though, and it’s just great hanging out with them outside of the office.
Today we’re getting sushi with Mai and Laura, and then hanging around the house. We have a lot going on in the next few weeks – going to Lake Waccamaw next weekend, NKOTB concert the following week, Power of Pink relay on November 1, WCU stuff on November 8 (Kenny’s National Board stuff) and Kenny takes the GRE on November 15. And then you get into the holiday season. We need today for relaxing.
