running frustrations
I had to take my shoes back last weekend, where the store owner replaced the insoles.
The problem? My shoes are Asics and the insoles are Brooks.
I ran 3 miles today. THREE MILES. I have a blister on my left foot (so bad that there’s actually a hole from where the skin tore off) and my right heel is bothering me now. I have heel issues. Asics have never been a problem for my heels, that stick out too far, but the new insoles (NOT Asics) are elevated slightly. More cushioning in the heel means my heel now sits in a different location in the shoe.
I’m tempted to go BACK to the store and give the store owner a piece of my mind. What the hell was he thinking giving me a different brand insoles? I’m an experienced runner. Experienced runners know what works for them.
For tomorrow, I’m going to cut the old insoles to the size I need and see if they continue to slip. If I can’t get through 3 miles without a blister, how can I run an additional 23 miles?
Frustrated.
Use your prowess and literary expertise by going straight to
Asics with your plight. It is pretty disgusting that any distributor should feel that they can get away with such disgusting actions. How are you blisters and heels feeling, by the way?? Love, Aunt Linda
