the running girl
I was conflicted this morning. Do I run in the rain? Wait til Sunday? I woke up and it wasn’t raining (yet) so I figured I could get at least part of my run in. I got all 12 miles just before the sky opened up.
My pace is definitely better this year. I’m averaging 9:30 miles (9 minutes, 30 seconds per mile) and I’m really happy with that. I’m ready for the Country Music Marathon next month!! Of course, my attitude could change next week after I run 20 miles.
Oh and today’s playlist started with NKOTB, for about 30 seconds. I then threw the iPod on shuffle, where it landed on Kate Nash. Put it back into regular mode and listened to Kate most of my run. Love her!
I think we’re pretty committed to running the race in Canada in June. I have so many other races I want to run, such as Nike Women’s in San Francisco one October (too bad this one always falls on my wedding anniversay weekend!), New York City marathon (beginning of November), Honolulu in December, San Diego (always first Saturday in June – too early for the teacher husband to travel that month), Seattle in June….
So many marathons and so little time (and travel money!)
