sewing project: the completed diaper bag

I finished sewing the diaper bag. I don’t know how, but I did it. It only took three hours of my Monday night (so much for getting other things done) but at least it’s done.

As a refresher, I was making the Nappy Bag (an Amy Butler pattern.) I used one of her fabrics as well.

Want to see it?

First, the table as I left it Sunday night:

There is a (somewhat hidden) cell phone pocket:

And SO MANY pockets!

A blurry picture to show you just how big it is:

Some of the instructions threw me off, or I wasn’t paying attention, so there was still some missteps on my part. I also had some problems with the tension on my sewing machine, so there was a lot of unstitching at 10:30 p.m. Not what I wanted to be doing, but it’s over now.

And I do love the bag.

Also? Check out the paint swatches behind me. Blue and green. Seems to be the theme these days. (The swatch we’re really considering is to the left of the mirror and you can’t see it in the picture.)
