Thanks to SharkNinja for sending me the Shark® Rocket® Complete with DuoCleanTM Technology to review. No other compensation was exchanged and all opinions are my own.

Confession time…my house is not spotless, and until recently I didn’t own a decent vacuum cleaner. To keep things clean for our kid(s) I swept often and mopped occasionally – and vacuumed our area rugs as necessary. (We have mostly wood floors.)

A few months ago, I borrowed a vacuum cleaner from my mom to really get our rooms clean. I then had a moment where I KNEW I wanted a vacuum for Christmas. I just wasn’t sure which one. I wanted one that I could switch from carpet to hardwoods without having to detach any parts. Something that could reach most of our rooms, but didn’t run on a battery (been there, done that.) Yet I also wanted something I could use on our couches and chairs, or in smaller spaces in the kids’ rooms. We have stairs in our house, so if I could find a vacuum that would also do my stairs with little hassle? I would be won over.

I was then asked if I’d like to try the Shark® Rocket® Complete with DuoCleanTM Technology…and I fell in love with cleaning my house. I’m not even joking. I used this fun tool the first day I could (it arrived while we were out of town) and I kept telling my husband, “Go look at the stairs! Just LOOK under our bed! Check out the hallway!”

This seriously lightweight upright vacuum fits easily in a hall closet, and I have a bag for any extra accessories. (It also comes with an attachment so you can hang it on a wall, but I haven’t decided if I want to hang it, or where I would hang it.) The “on” button has two settings allowing you to clean your floors, and also your plush carpets, without having to switch any attachments.

The longer cord allows me to plug it into our living room and get that room, our dining room, hallway, bathroom and about half of the bedrooms done before I have to plug into another outlet. It’s not too loud, either. I was able to get inches away from the cat – and she barely moved. My son hates vacuum cleaners because of the sound, and this one doesn’t bother him. I can also vacuum while the baby is napping and this doesn’t disturb her.

I know “experts” think that men shouldn’t give women household appliances or tools for Christmas, but this is one that I would recommend for any person. I only wish I’d had this when my son was younger.
