I’ve always been a fan of Black Friday. With the exception of last year, I’ve always made a big deal out of going out at 3 or 4 a.m. and braving the crowds. Last year I had a 3-month-old, and I did most of my shopping on Amazon. This year, I just wasn’t feeling it.
Instead, I bought a car. More on that later in a separate post.
Following the car purchase, the only other shopping we did was for a few random items at KMart, which happens to be close to our house. I wasn’t feeling up to shopping near the mall (or Target or WalMart, or any of those crazy places.)
I did my fair share of shopping online last night and tonight. And I have a few Cyber Monday plans. Today, Ebates is offering double cash back on a lot of their stores. (That’s an affiliate link, by the way.) If you aren’t on Ebates, what are you waiting for? Seriously. My last check from them was automatically applied to my Amazon account and Christmas gifts were purchased.
(And if you’re thinking of buying magazine subscriptions for Christmas gifts, or for yourself, magazines.com is offering 52% cash back today!)
So I may not be braving the stores like so many millions of other people, but I’m still getting a good amount of shopping completed. And maybe next year I’ll brave the crowds.
Did you go shopping this morning or last night? Are you saving your shopping for Cyber Monday?
