I’m dealing with some annoying cold that settled in this week and it is not lost on me that I was also writing about Zicam® Cold Remedy products – it’s as if the universe knew what was going to happen. I work in a small department. There are only four of us, but we’re surrounded by many students and fellow employees. Cold season is no joke, and I hate that the common cold can last for what seems like forever! With that in mind, I’m preparing myself with a cold care pack – complete with Zicam® Cold Remedy products to help shorten cold symptoms, at the first sign of the cold.

My love of homeopathic remedies knows no bounds, and I was pretty excited to find Zicam® Cold Remedy Medicated Fruit Drops at my nearby Walmart. I feel confident they’re going to help shorten the cold my body has decided to take on this week, and I think they are a nice addition to my cold care pack. Stock up now so you’re prepared later.

Ready to see what I have in my cold care pack? (Of course, you are!)

First up, the Zicam Medicated Fruit Drops. I have the assorted fruit flavors, so there should be something for everyone. One bottle contains 25 drops and they can be taken every three hours until symptoms are gone.

Then I’ve added Zicam® Cold Remedy RapidMelts®. If you haven’t tried the Zicam RapidMelts, you are truly missing out. I personally like the citrus flavor the best and at the first sign of a sore throat or sniffle, I take one of these. I’ve taken the Zicam RapidMelts over the years and I really think they help, if they are taken early enough. I can now alternate them with the Zicam Medicated Fruit Drops!

Next up: Zicam® Cold Remedy Nasal Swabs. These actually sound a little awkward. They are swabs you use in your nose, and they provide multi-symptom relief – again, if taken early enough. With cooling menthol and eucalyptus, why wouldn’t you give them a try? They will help clear your stuffy nose right up! I prefer to use this first thing in the morning when I feel a cold coming on (and, again, this should be alternated with one of the other Zicam® Cold Remedy Products – don’t overdo it.) This was actually the first Zicam Cold Remedy product I tried many years ago and I’m sad I didn’t take them seriously sooner. They really did help.

I’m also adding a box of tissues since we can all use a tissue (or five) during this season. And a bottle of hand sanitizer. Finally, I have a roller bottle of essential oils (mixed with coconut oil) that I’ll put on my neck or wrists. The mix of eucalyptus, peppermint and oregano helps me with stuffiness and headaches. (Sometimes I might add thieves to my roller bottle.)

  1. My husband is a huge ZICAM fan. I’ve just told him about the ZICAM Medicated Fruit Drops. He didn’t know about them, so thanks for the heads up!
