Show us where you live Friday – Master bedroom

It’s that time of week again! It’s “show us where you live Friday” over on Kelly’s blog, and I’ve joined in. I don’t know how I even pulled this one off (except we cleaned out the master bedroom before we left last Thursday, and I took the pictures before luggage was moved in.

So, here you go. Where we sleep 🙂

This bedroom is one of three (the office and guest bedroom make up the other two) and it’s the second smallest of the three, but is the only one that has the bathroom off of it, which is why we made it the master. There was much debate over this room, but I think we’ve pulled it off for now.

View from the hallway:

The bedding and curtains were all from the husband’s bachelor days. I like it, so we didn’t register for anything new when we got married. Oh, and the bed frame is something I’d LOVE to replace. I bought the frame at a yard sale for about $25 a few months after I graduated from college.

My nightstand/side of the bed:

His bookshelf/side of the bed (note the toiletry bag on the top of the bookcase. That was left behind last Thursday.)

Teeny-tiny closet:

View from the bathroom (the blanket on the end of the bed is my first crocheting project. It’s as wide as a full-size bed, and fits on our queen bed nicely. It just doesn’t match anything, but it took me 3 years to crochet, and it’s going to be displayed!):

This pictures sits on our dresser. It’s a picture of us from NYC and we had the matte signed by our guests at our wedding reception. I love it!!

Pictures on one wall. The pictures are from our honeymoon in the Bahamas. We had the center photo enlarged and bought the “artwork” to hang beneath the photos at Target.

So, there you have it. There isn’t much we can do with the room, but maybe one day I’ll redecorate 🙂
