Favorite Sites & Apps to Earn Cash Back

For the month of January, I really try to curb my spending. The holidays tend to hurt, and I actually go around 6 weeks before I’m paid at the end of the month (I only get paid once a month.) Budgeting is crucial. We still have to shop, though, whether it’s fun shopping or doing something like grocery shopping. And with these sites and apps, you can actually make money shopping – even if you’re shopping at stores that normally don’t accept coupons! (Fun little fact – after having a newspaper subscription for almost 19 years, I canceled mine a few weeks ago. I was using it only for coupons and realized we really weren’t getting many coupons to make it worth our while.)

Ibotta – I check this every time I shop at my local grocery store (Ingles) or make a Target or Walmart trip. You do have to match the item, but at times you can earn money for purchasing any item. Actually, for several weeks I’ve been able to get cash for “any item” at least once a week. Ibotta has the national chains covered, which is nice. Sign up with my referral link and you’ll get a $10 welcome bonus! They do require a minimum $20 to cash out, but the money can be sent to a Paypal account, which is nice.

Fetch Rewards – You get points for uploading any receipt. If you shop at Aldi, this app could be so beneficial for you! There is no need to search for certain products – points are given for uploading receipts! Use my referral code of PT8FK and you’ll get 2000 points to start out with! (When you get to 11,500 points you can earn virtual rewards cards – so think Visa and Mastercard rewards.) This weekend I have shopped at Aldi, Ingles and Target – and I’ve earned points on all of my receipts. Occasionally you get points for specific products, but Fetch Rewards does all of the work for you, in reading the items within the receipt.

Ebates – I’ve been earning cash back through Ebates for years! I’ve actually received more than $720 in checks since I started using the site several years ago. You simply go to Ebates, find the store you’re going to shop online and click on the link to make your purchase. After your purchase, your account is credited with a percentage cash back and every three months you receive a “big fat check” from the company. I love it because I tend to get a check in February from all of my holiday purchases (I don’t shop online as much the rest of the year!) If you use my link, once you make your first purchase of $25, you’ll earn an extra $10!
