so close, yet….

I’ve been house hunting online today, and I found one that was perfect. We drove out to the home which is SO close to a lot of our friends. The downside? One of the neighbors (really two homes down) is kind of sketchy. At least they wouldn’t be RIGHT on top of us. You can somewhat see I-40 through the trees, and you can hear part of the interstate – but it’s not nearly as loud as what we listen to right now. We would also have to install a privacy fence. It’s almost a must.

We liked it so much that we had no problem knocking on the neighbor’s door and asking if we could check out her house. She was cool – and so was her dog.

The house is brand new, has hardwood floors and ceramic tile throughout, central air/heat and a front porch and back deck. Three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a dining room. And a neighbor cat that is very friendly. I mean VERY friendly. We even got a friend of ours to come over and look at the house with us. That’s how much we liked it.

It’s also in our price range.

I wish that it wasn’t next to the sketchy neighbor, and I wish you couldn’t hear I-40. Those might be the two things that kill this for us, but I did email our realtor to see if we could check it out from the inside this week.
