Ah, the weekend. I live my week so we can enjoy weekends.

This month I’ve tried doing more chores during the week, in hopes that the weekends can be a little more laid back. This week, I did laundry almost every night (even on Friday night), so I will hopefully not be washing and folding come Sunday night. That’s the hope.

Stream of Consciousness - free writing.

Most of the house has been swept, and the kitchen is relatively clean. Even the dining room table is cleared off (thanks to having Carol over for dinner – we cleared the table off quickly.)

We’re taking the kiddo to see Paddington this weekend. We saw the previews a few weeks ago, and my hope is he’ll enjoy it. It’s something different for us, and one of my goals this year is to do more family days, rather than just surviving as a family.

I have a website I’d love to get caught up with this weekend. It’s a fun site, but I have to make more time for it. I refuse to do the work while the kiddo is awake, so my hours are a little limited. (I’m hoping for a decent naptime this weekend.)

I have a lot of high hopes for the weekend.

What does your average weekend look like?

Welcome back to another week of Stream of Consciousness Saturday. This is the time where I spend 5 minutes free writing. I usually post this for Saturday morning, but sometimes that just doesn’t happen. It’s totally fine.

Want to participate? The rules….

1. Set a timer for five minutes. (Or keep tabs with your computer’s clock.)

2. Write freely. Any topic. Whatever is on your mind. It doesn’t even have to be completely cohesive.

3. Tag on social media with #SOCSaturday or #SOCSunday and link up below. You have all day Saturday and Sunday to join the link up. It closes Monday morning.

4. Click around and give some comment/blog love.

  1. I’m working on getting house chores done when the hubby is at work for the same reason. More relaxed, less busy life. Since my husband usually works all weekend (he is in the restaurant biz) we are usually super chill and just try to catch up with friends. We run around during the week and enjoy all our favorite places when they are super slow during the week. We went to marbles one time on a weekend and I was floored at all the people there! 😀 …so lazy… our weekends are lazy. 🙂
