Stream of Consciousness – week 33 #SOCWeekend #blogging #freewriting
Last Saturday I mentioned that we didn’t know how to slow down. Famous last words. I’ve done nothing but be slow this week.
At least I’m beginning to feel better.
My brain has been in a fog for days. My wardrobe has consisted of yoga pants, pajama pants and various long-sleeved running t-shirts. It’s different than my normal navy attire. And it was a far cry from the two dresses I had packed for my work trip (which I still need to hang back up.)
I’m curious about how long it’ll take for me to come out of this fog. When I stop taking the medications? (I have one dose of Tamiflu left for today.) When I go back to work? When I start exercising again?
I still can’t get over the workout I did on Monday and then how horrible I felt on Tuesday and Wednesday. It’s amazing how the body works.
The weather is supposed to be warmer today and then getting super cold for the next several days. We may even get snow. Every time we are supposed to get snow, we don’t, so we’ll see how this works out for us.
I’m getting tired of being sick and tired.
Friday was the first day since last Saturday that I didn’t nap. I was drained by 7 p.m., but I didn’t need the nap in the afternoon. So that’s progress, my friends. Like I may even get through a day at the office without falling asleep.
My cat is going to miss me next week. My boy missed me this week. I was able to get some super cuddles on the couch yesterday (his daycare was closed for the day.) I’ll take all the cuddles I can get.
I’m telling you, my brain is mush.
We don’t have super Valentine’s Day plans since my plan was to not be in town. It’ll be very low-key. My husband did bring flowers home last night. (Winning. Totally winning.) and we’ll just play the rest of the weekend by ear.
I hope you have a love-filled day. And weekend.

So sorry you are sick, but happy that you are getting better. There is so much nasty stuff going around this winter that seems to hang on forever. Hope you are back to normal soon.
Thanks, Nancy. I’m hoping this is the beginning of a new, healthy week.
Ugh! I’m so ready for you to feel better. I hope this week’s the week that you start feeling better and are able to exercise and function normally.
I think I’m taking one more day off of exercising. We’ll see if I can fit it in tomorrow. I’m hoping this is the start of a healthy week!!
I hope you’re feeling better soon, girl. Sounds like you’re on your way, so yay!!!
And I know – this chilly weather is crazy! Brrr. I’m thinking we’re getting snow tomorrow night, which I am okay with, but I kinda like it better on a weekend-day when it’s easy to not go anyplace!!!
i meant to do this, but got to feeling bad and didn’t get around to it. hope you are feeling better!!
