Stream of Consciousness – week 34 #SOCWeekend #blogging #freewriting
We have no plans this weekend. This week has been such a mess getting over sickness and the freezing temperatures. Originally, I was going to spend this weekend re-acclimating myself after 8 days away.
But the week was such a mess schedule-wise.
I’m hoping this weekend can be normal. I want to get grocery shopping taken care of, the house cleaned a bit, play with the boy – he has a lot of energy. We need to get out of the house.
I want to read the pile of books I’ve accumulated. For some reason, I couldn’t bring myself to read while I was sick – why is that?
I would LOVE to go for a run, but I don’t know if that’s in the cards for a while. I still have coughing spells – being outdoors at the moment, while running, doesn’t sound like the smartest idea.
I really want to see the United States thaw for a bit so schedules can somewhat normalize.
We need normal again.
Want to participate? The rules….
1. Set a timer for five minutes. (Or keep tabs with your computer’s clock.)
2. Write freely. Any topic. Whatever is on your mind. It doesn’t even have to be completely cohesive.
3. Tag on social media with #SOCSaturday or #SOCSunday and link up below. You have all day Saturday and Sunday to join the link up. It closes Monday morning.
4. Click around and give some comment/blog love.
i always gauge just how sick i am on my ability to read. i hate it when i don’t even feel like picking up a book. thankfully a friend taught me the audiobook download process from our library. i’ve been listening to books on the treadmills to help me with my runs this week.
Audio books on the treadmill is a great idea. I have the tv, but there is rarely anything on that I want to watch.
I’m looking for normal too. I am one of the few people in the country who still likes the snow. I’m not a big fan of the sub zero wind chills like we have been having though.
Oh my, we are looking for normal, too. It is fun for a few days, then it becomes overwhelming and tough. I don’t love routine all the time, but we sure seem to need it.
Hope that cough is kicked soon!
