Stream of Consciousness – week 36 #SOCWeekend #blogging #freewriting
We’re waiting for Blogging Concentrated to begin in a few minutes. We arrived in Raleigh last night around 11:00 and spent all of 9.5 hours in our hotel. (Hyatt House in Morrisville. I highly recommend.)
I love conferences. I love meeting new people and blogging conferences are fun because I’m “meeting” my friends in real life – people I’ve followed online for a while.
There’s the learning part too. I’m excited to see what BC has in store for us today.
And have I mentioned that my husband is attending this conference? His first blogging conference. Since he has never attended one, I’m interested in seeing what he thinks about my people at the end of today.
Now, let’s hope I can make it through the day. Very few hours of sleep after a longish drive is definitely going to make for an interesting day.
Do you attend conferences for fun or for work? (Can I just say that I’m still bummed I missed my work conference a couple of weeks ago? Stupid flu.)
Want to participate? The rules….
1. Set a timer for five minutes. (Or keep tabs with your computer’s clock.)
2. Write freely. Any topic. Whatever is on your mind. It doesn’t even have to be completely cohesive.
3. Tag on social media with #SOCSaturday or #SOCSunday and link up below. You have all day Saturday and Sunday to join the link up. It closes Monday morning.
4. Click around and give some comment/blog love.
I’ve been to conferences for work over the years, but I’ve never gone to a blogging conference. Not really sure why I haven’t. Have fun.
Blogging conferences are so fun! You’re with new and old friends and they tend to get you if you blog a good amount. 😉
I hope you guys had an amazing time! I love conferences also. I’m sure excited about all that we have in store in the coming months. Also hope you and Kenny were able to relax a little. You both deserve it.
its been ages since i’ve attended a conference, but registered for a Bible Study leader conference this weekend. i’m getting pushed out of my comfort zone!!
